Can the child's assets be paid out at any time?

Account liquidations and winthdrawals are possible at any time if the money is transferred to an account in the child's name.

It is important to know that funds that children and young people inherit or receive as gifts and that are invested for them for savings purposes constitute tied child assets under Swiss law and may not be touched by parents for their own purposes.

Without the consent of the Child and adult protection authority (KESB), parents or legal guardians are not allowed to have the child's assets paid out for current maintenance, education or training.
